SID (Source-Image Distance)
TechnicalDistance between the focal spot of the X-ray tube and the detector. It affects geometric magnification and sharpness: increasing the SID reduces magnification and improves geometric sharpness. Standard values: 100–115 cm for most examinations; 150–180 cm for chest and stitching.
