Knee X-Ray Lateral Oblique
Objective
Lateral tibial plateau, lateral femoral condyle, fibular head. Assessment of lateral tibial plateau fractures (Schatzker) and Segond lesion.
Quality criteria
Lateral tibial plateau and lateral femoral condyle well demonstrated.
Proximal fibula visible anteriorly without tibial overlap.
Proximal tibiofibular joint visible.
Patella projected laterally.
Common errors
Insufficient rotation (fibula overlapping).
Excessive rotation.
Movement.
Incorrect centring.
