mAs = mA × t
mA = mAs / t
t = mAs / mA
Keeping the mAs product constant when varying current or time preserves dose and optical density. Doubling the mAs doubles the dose.
Example: 200 mA × 0.5 s = 100 mAs · 400 mA × 0.25 s = 100 mAs
