Oblique projection

Anatomy

The patient is rotated by a specific angle relative to the frontal plane, producing a projection intermediate between frontal and lateral. It reduces structural overlap and allows visualisation of structures not seen in standard projections (e.g. intervertebral foramina, zygapophyseal joints).
