PA projection (Posteroanterior)

Anatomy

The beam enters the posterior part of the patient and exits anteriorly towards the detector. The patient stands with the chest/anterior structure in contact with the detector. It reduces the magnification of anterior structures (e.g. the heart in a PA chest).
