Carpal scaphoid
AnatomyBoat-shaped carpal bone located in the first (proximal) row. It is the most frequently fractured carpal bone. Its predominantly distal blood supply makes it prone to avascular necrosis when a fracture is left untreated. Requires dedicated projections (ulnar deviation) for optimal visualisation.
