Acetabulum

Articular cavity of the hip formed by the ilium (superior wall), the ischium (posterior and inferior wall) and the pubis (anterior wall). It articulates with the femoral head. Acetabular fractures are classified according to Letournel and require Judet projections for complete assessment.
