Objective
Diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in newborns and infants.
Quality criteria
Bilateral symmetry of positioning.
Femoral shaft axis projected towards the acetabular roof (normal) or laterally (dislocation).
Pubic symphysis centred.
Common errors
Asymmetrical positioning.
Insufficient abduction/internal rotation.
