Cobb angle
TechnicalStandard measurement of scoliotic curvature on radiography. The upper and lower end vertebrae of the curve are identified, lines are drawn parallel to the vertebral endplates, and the angle between the perpendiculars to these lines is measured. Curves > 10° are considered scoliosis; > 40–50° require surgical evaluation.
