Intervertebral disc
AnatomyFibrocartilaginous structure interposed between adjacent vertebral bodies. Composed of a central nucleus pulposus and a peripheral annulus fibrosus. Not directly visible on standard radiography; its integrity is assessed indirectly through the height of the intervertebral space.
