Bennett fracture

Anatomy

Fracture-dislocation of the first metacarpal involving the trapeziometacarpal joint. The medial (Bennett) fragment stays in place while the metacarpal dislocates proximally and radially due to the pull of the abductor pollicis longus muscle.
